General Hospital Spoilers reveal Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) knows a thing or two about loss. She’s been grieving the death of her late husband, Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), for more than two years now. When Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) came along, he breathed new life into her world. She could feel things again that she hadn’t since Luke was alive. She lit up when Gregory walked into a room. But most of all, she knew that too would come to an end. She couldn’t let herself get too worked up not knowing how he felt about her — or over little things like who he was taking to his son’s wedding to her granddaughter. After all, a much bigger problem was looming: Gregory was dying. Now, that reality has come to fruition, and Tracy is faced with the road ahead — alone again. What comes next for her?
General Hospital Spoilers — Gone But Not Forgotten
Luke’s death has taught Tracy a valuable lesson in her later years. Although he’s gone, his death cannot erase the time she spent with him or the love they shared for one another. It goes on. Because of that loss, Tracy already knew how to handle the situation with Gregory going in. She didn’t let the fear of losing him paralyze her or prevent her from falling for him anyway. Instead, she jumped in head-first. Now, with Gregory gone, he too will not be forgotten, and she is forever changed for having known him.
GH Spoilers Hint a Softer Side of Tracy Has Emerged
Everyone is taking note of the more sentimental and less hardened side of Tracy that has come into focus in recent weeks. As Gregory began to lean on her more for support, she was happy to oblige. She may not be giving up her title of being the most difficult Quartermaine in the family, but she’s ready to embrace life with a bit more zest and compassion. We’ve seen her part ways with Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) wedding dress even though it meant so much to her. We’ve seen her apologize to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) for missing his wedding with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer). We even saw her deliver a beautiful gift to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) on her wedding day with plenty of sentiment behind it. It’s true. Tracy has changed.
General Hospital Spoilers — Are All of Tracy’s Love Stories in the Past?
If Gregory showed Tracy anything else, it was that there is life after love — and death. Luke dying wasn’t the end of her capacity for love. She could find that again, and nearly did. She couldn’t have agreed with him more when Gregory told her he had entertained the idea of what his life would have been like had he met her when he was younger, but then he recognizes everything would have been very different — including the families they ended up having and how they came together now. The bittersweet recognition of their mutual feelings was all she needed, and it’s going to be enough for her to say goodbye to him and move on carrying him with her, too. A lighter and more carefree Tracy — after all these years? We’re here for it. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to learn what life and love have in store for Tracy next.
