A Summer Bay reunion had fans wildly speculating about the return of a much-loved character.

The cast of Summer Bay walked the red carpet at the Channel Seven Upfronts, but it was a reunion photo from Home and Away that had viewers wondering about the possible return of a beloved character.

A joyful photo of the cast, which includes Matt Evans as Theo, Kyle Schilling as Mali, Adam Rowland as Remi, Kirsty Marillier as Rose, Jessica Redmayne as Harper, Ada Nicodemou as Leah, and James Stewart as Justin, was posted on the popular soap opera’s social media pages.

However, it was the surprising cameo from Stephen Peacocke who played Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton that sent fans wild, with some interpreting the image that the star was going to grace Summer Bay with his presence again.

Stephen made a cheeky photobomb cameo in the image with Matt, Adam, Kirsty, and Jessica, who are all more recent additions to the show.

Home and Away also announced the show would be returning for a new season in 2024.

‘Bring back Brax!’

Fans flooded the comments to beg Stephen’s character Brax to return.

Brax departed Summer Bay in June 2015, the last of three Braxton brothers to depart the show. His exit saw the car transferring him to jail run off the road and plunge into a lake, leaving the storyline open for his return. Brax then returned to Summer Bay months later, with his final storyline playing out in mid-2016, where he’s reunited with Ricky and his son.

Stephen’s cameo in the photo left fans reminiscing on the good old days.

“I’d tune in just for Brax!! Take me back to the river boys days!” one fan commented.

“What a shame I was hoping this was spoiler that Steve might make a cameo return next year!” another said.

“Bring back Brax 🙏🏻,” another person begged.

“If brax is back, so am I!!,” another said.
