Dan Ewing of Home and Away has announced his engagement to Kat Risteska.
On Christmas Day, the 36-year-old posted the good news to Instagram, showing off her gorgeous diamond ring.
Dan shared a picture of her hand and ring and captioned it: ‘All I want for Christmas is…’
Underneath the image, the couple received a slew of good messages from fans and followers.
Erin Holland, Dan’s SAS Australia co-star, wrote: ‘YAY,’ adding a love heart emoji.
Musician Pete Murray added: ‘Congratulations mate. Awesome stuff.’
Dan gave Kat an oval diamond engagement ring with a one-of-a-kind gold band setting.
Dan and Kat are going strong and have been dating since 2016.
Dan stated to New Idea that he and his partner are preparing to relocate to Queensland in order to be closer to his seven-year-old son Archie, whom he shares with his ex-wife Marni Little.
The Covid-19 border restrictions, according to the Sydney-based actor, have delayed him from seeing his kid for months.
‘It’s been difficult,’ he admitted. ‘It’s tougher than I ever imagined.’ It’s difficult to be apart from him. You feel like you’re losing out on so much every day. ‘Video and phone calls don’t replace being present.’
He added that as much as he’ll miss Sydney, he understandably ‘misses his son more’.
Dan also mentioned that moving closer to Marni and her new spouse David Robertshaw will be wonderful, describing them as ‘one big family.’
