Next week, Valerie Beaumont, a recent arrival to Summer Bay, will have a rival in Kirby Aramoana of Home and Away.

When Kirby begs Valerie to cease giving Theo Poulos medication, she threatens to incur her wrath.

In recent scenes, Valerie confides in Theo about her use of party drugs as a coping mechanism for the grief she feels over her brother’s untimely death.

The Lyrik singer’s darker plotline began when Valerie provided Theo drugs so he could experience it for himself.

Kirby tells Theo that they have been scheduled for a couple of fresh media interviews to promote Lyrik in next week’s UK-pace episodes.

Kirby expresses her fear that Theo might not be well-suited for the interview after noticing that he has been out and about. Valerie brushes this off and says Theo will be alright.

When they are alone, Valerie asks Theo why Kirby has to watch over him when he does press interviews. Theo tells Kirby that he will conduct the interview by himself since he believes that it is time for him to advocate for himself more.

Kirby concurs, astonished that Theo is prepared to make this move given his prior errors with publicity for Lyrik. But she chooses in private to let Justin Morgan know that Valerie might

without disclosing all the information, be a negative impact on Theo.

Kirby becomes increasingly alarmed later in the week when she witnesses Theo emerging from the water after a wave. She recalls seeing him with Valerie the day before, when he was high on drugs.

Kirby steps in and warns Theo that going surfing while intoxicated is extremely risky. In addition, she reminds him that he has a scheduled press interview that afternoon, something he seemed to have forgotten.

Kirby tells Valerie to stop giving Theo medicines, but he still believes that Valerie is the cause of his problems. Valerie responds to Kirby in a defiant manner, implying that she lacks the authority to make demands. Will Kirby give in?
