Alum of Home and Away Tammin Sursok has opened up about a disastrous family vacation that ended with her packing her belongings and fleeing her Airbnb in the middle of the night.

Tammin, her husband Sean McEwen, and their two girls drove 17 hours from Queensland to Melbourne for a weekend getaway, only to discover their hotel was a “total disaster.”

“It is nine o’clock at night,” the 38-year-old told her Instagram followers while standing outside in the dark.

“I’m scared, I don’t like it. It’s haunted,” her eight-year-old daughter Phoenix said in the background.

The Aquamarine actress then uploaded photographs of the decaying residence, which was littered with ripped carpets, shattered glass, strange stains, and scarred walls.

“This has never occurred to me before. So far, Airbnb has been fantastic, so we’ll see what we can do. However, it is not perfect “she went on.

The family left the Airbnb and went into a nearby hotel, where she updated her Instagram followers on their disastrous vacation.

“What a s–t show. Airbnb refunded everything, which they should’ve, thank goodness,” she said from her hotel room bed.

“I’ve never actually had that experience. I’ve never had to be refunded for a place I’ve stayed because normally everything’s great. But it was a disaster. When you walked in it stunk like black mould.”

Tammin is known for sharing glimpses of her personal life on Instagram, and she recently opened up about being bullied as a child.

“When I was 13 years old I was 200 pounds (90kg), I got bullied a lot and boys were horrible to me, they would throw rocks at my head and kids would laugh behind my back,” she said, sharing throwback photos of herself.

“All I wanted was to be an actress and musician and it was the only time I felt happy. A guy I had a crush on told me I’d never amount to anything. I told him to watch this space.”

Tammin stated she was bullied for most of her adolescence, but she chose to persist and not be broken by “people’s hate-filled remarks.”

“If you are in this situation, I promise you that you are worthy, you are enough and I want you to GET UP. Your dreams can come true, but it’s up to you. I see you. I got you.”

Tammin’s career has taken off since she left her four-year job in Summer Bay. She went on to star in the television shows Pretty Little Liars and Hannah Montana.
