Jack Betrays Penny in EastEnders – Now She’s Out for Revenge

Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) is still bent on bringing down her father, Jack (Scott Maslen), in EastEnders next week.

Tensions between them have only worsened since Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) confessed to her role in the incident at Peggy’s club, a mishap that was initially blamed on Penny.

Matters escalated when Jack, learning that those injured were on the mend, chose not to push Chelsea to turn herself in, reasoning that Chelsea’s punishment would likely be harsher than what Penny would have faced.

The Fox-Branning family held a vote on how to handle the situation, with Jack ultimately siding against his own daughter. Since then, Penny has quietly sworn revenge, though she continues to pretend she’s accepted his decision.

With the help of her boyfriend Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), Penny instructs him to “bleed” Jack for all he’s worth. Conveniently, Harry has leverage on Jack, thanks to a video from Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) capturing an earlier confrontation.

Jack is stunned when the footage is sent to him and even more shocked to learn that Harry wants insider information in exchange for his silence.

Next week, Penny receives a court summons and grows anxious about what’s to come. When she turns to Jack for support, his dismissive response pushes her over the edge, leading her to ask Harry to escalate their plans.

As the week unfolds, Harry demands a favor from Jack – to recover a stolen car. Jack initially refuses, but Harry reminds him of the damaging video, forcing Jack to comply reluctantly.

When the day arrives, Jack realizes he’s nearly late for his youngest daughter Amy’s (Ellie Dadd) physio appointment. He barely makes it back in time but must rush off to handle the sketchy car job.

Unbeknownst to him, Harry watches from a distance, snapping photos as Jack picks up the stolen vehicle to use as further blackmail. As Jack returns to the Square, a distracted text-check causes him to accidentally scrape the car.

Could Jack be digging himself into deeper trouble?
