VIEWERS have been growing more and more concerned for Kat Slater, played by Jessie Wallace in EastEnders as her teenage son Tommy ramps up his violence towards her.

EastEnders viewers have seen the abuse unfold for months as the child-to-parent abuse storyline has been escalating on the BBC soap.

In July, viewers were stunned when Tommy lashed out and punched his mother in the stomach. His behavior had been spiraling out of control, becoming increasingly erratic and physically aggressive.

It seemed like things had settled down for a while, but that changed when Tommy was caught stealing earlier this week.

Next week, Tommy’s true colors emerge once again as his anger boils over, leading him to escalate his violent outbursts toward Kat. Unable to keep it hidden any longer, Kat is forced to confront the situation when Alfie unexpectedly returns from Birmingham.

Taken by surprise Kat is tries desperately to hide her latest wounds, but Alfie is no fool and spots her bruises.

Kat tries to pull the wool over his eyes and spins a tale about getting it after a boozy night out with Stacey.

Alfie smells a rat and soon discovers she’s lying following a conversation with Stacey in The Vic.

Later, at No.5D, Kat fumes at Tommy for using her credit card without her permission having already lied to Alfie about his actions – but unbeknownst to the pair, Alfie has been listening in.

Furious, he demands answers as he grills Kat, who cracks under the pressure.

After a while she finally admits it was Tommy who injured her.

Later at No. 5D, the Moons and Freddie gather for a meal together.

However, chaos quickly erupts when an argument between Tommy and Freddie escalates.

As the week progresses, Kat and Alfie are left reeling from a night of turmoil, yet Kat persists in making excuses for Tommy’s behavior, driven by her instincts as a protective mother.

Meanwhile, at No. 31, Freddie finds himself under scrutiny from the Slaters, especially as Jean starts to suspect that he’s hiding a secret for Kat.
