Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), usually the most composed member of the Dingle family, surprised everyone with her outburst in Emmerdale.

In tonight’s episode, the cherished character gathered with her family to bid farewell to Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell), who passed away earlier this week.

As anticipated, Lydia was there to support her grieving loved ones, but she also took it upon herself to keep Zak’s casket dust-free and offer tips to Mandy (Lisa Riley) on her ironing skills.

Zak’s body was transported from Scotland to the village by Sam and Cain (Jeff Hordley). The next morning, the villagers convened at the Woolpack to raise a glass in Zak’s honor, with his coffin placed at the center of the pub.

The Dingles then transported Zak from the pub to the Dingle land, where he had requested to be laid to rest.

Just as Marlon (Mark Charnock) was pondering what to say in front of the family, the situation took an unexpected turn with the return of Tina Dingle (Samantha Power).

Having not been seen for 28 years, Tina announced she was back to say goodbye to her father. However, the other Dingles felt she had no right to attend the funeral due to her lack of effort to remain involved in their lives.

Later, Mandy stumbled upon pictures of Wishing Well on Tina’s phone. The outspoken character claimed she deserved a share of the family home since she is one of Zak’s children.

She then directed her attention to Lydia, expressing disbelief over what Sam’s wife saw in her brother.

Furious and agitated, Lydia struck back by shoving Tina into a huge pile of mud, creating quite the dramatic scene.

After threatening Tina regarding Sam, Lydia clarified that Zak’s will left Wishing Well to Belle, Cain, and Sam, meaning Tina would receive nothing.

Tina’s outburst was cut short by the arrival of the police, who came to take her away after discovering she had violated the terms of her ankle tag.

As she walked away, the former resident warned the Dingles that “this” isn’t over, suggesting that she will likely return soon.
