Ramsay Street is left rocked by a shock death following a freak storm, but one family in particular is struggling to come to terms with the loss in Neighbours.

The wedding of Roxy (Zima Anderson) and Kyle (Chris Milligan) goes off without a hitch – at least at first – as the couple manages to say their vows without any of Neighbours’ major tragedies. It wouldn’t be Soapland if every wedding ended happily ever after, so give it a few minutes.

A terrible storm rages across town, and those who seek cover at the Flamingo Bar become the focus of Mother Nature as the storm develops. They can’t get away from the deadly lightning since they have nowhere to run.

One wedding guest is killed when the Flamingo is ripped apart.
At first, it appears like Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) has died, but later it is shown that he is in hospital. Glen reconsiders their relationship after his near-death experience.

The Tanakas’ grief reverberates throughout the town as they try to come to terms with their loss. The hardest hit is Leo (Tim Kano). He’s baffled as to how this could have happened, and despite his loved ones’ best efforts, he pushes them all away.

As the memorial day approaches, Leo withdraws even more into himself, while Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is consumed with remorse. She flees the wedding as her emotions overtake her, and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) notices her change in attitude and realizes Terese is blaming herself. Terese, unable to cope with her guilt, makes a life-changing decision.

Despite pushing them away, Leo’s loved ones rally around him to offer every bit of support they can. But he won’t listen. He’s determined to keep going and doing it all by himself, but it ends up being Nicolette who saves him from himself. Leo is struggling badly with the weight of his grief. Will he be able to pull through?
