Nicola King (played by Nicola Wheeler) decides to take drastic measures in Emmerdale next week, as her concerns over Tom King (James Chase) grow.

Until recently, Nicola shared Jimmy’s (Nick Miles) view of Tom, believing their nephew to be a victim in Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) supposed manipulative behavior. They didn’t realize that, in reality, the situation was quite the opposite.
Nicola’s perception started to shift after noticing her son Carl’s (Charlie Munro Joyce) change in behavior.
Tom had previously manipulated Carl, urging him to keep his emotions bottled up, leaving Carl anxious and uncomfortable around his cousin.

Additionally, when Tom retrieved his tablet from a child who had taken it, he smashed it in a fit of anger, assuming he was safe from the police investigation – unaware that Carl had witnessed his outburst.
In upcoming scenes, Nicola informs Jimmy that she and the children will move out until Tom leaves. This decision is likely to create tension, given Jimmy’s loyalty to Tom.
Elsewhere, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) finds Tom outside the church. He claims he’s been attacked but declines both her offer to go to the hospital and her suggestion to involve the police, raising further suspicion.
When Jimmy hears about this incident, his worries about Tom’s safety overpower any previous doubts.
He reassures Tom of his support and then confronts Sam Dingle (James Hooton), suspecting him of being the attacker.
But is Jimmy correct in his assumption?
