Ruxandra Porojnicu, who now appears on Coronation Street, revealed the trailer for the upcoming Hollywood film she will be in.
Sumotherhood, a follow-up to 2011’s Anuvahood, will star the actress who portrayed Alina Pop along with Jennifer Saunders, Ed Sheeran, and Jaime Winstone in addition to writer, director, and actor Adam Deacon.
Hey Sprinkle, SUMOTHERHOOD opens in theaters on October 13th, Ruxandra wrote accompanying the trailer when she shared it on Instagram.
In reaction, the actress received numerous comments from admirers who were all over the fact that Ruxandra had landed a part in the star-studded movie.
2019 saw Ruxandra join Coronation Street. Romanian national Alina Pop was trafficked to the UK and eventually found employment in Weatherfield at a nail salon. Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and undercover police informant Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) busted the trafficking ring, and Alina returned to her native country.
Then, Alina came back and began dating Tyrone (Alan Halsall), which caused him to break up with Fiz (Jennie McAlpine).
As the love triangle plot progressed, Alina revealed that she was expecting Tyrone’s child.
She tragically lost the child, nevertheless, when Hope, Fiz’s daughter (Isabella Flanagan), set fire to their apartment. After discovering that Tyrone had kept Hope’s problematic past a secret from her, Alina left for Romania without telling her ex that she was expecting again.
