On General Hospital, Jane Elliot’s Tracy Quartermaine has been portrayed in a variety of ways, and she has never let us down. Recently, the show gave the actress the chance to portray the shrewd businesswoman Tracy as drunk, and the actress nailed it in the boardroom.

Performer of the Week – Jane Elliot

In order to provide the family and the staff with a break from her granny’s agitated mood, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) brought Tracy to a Hawaiian-themed night at the Metro Court pool, she claimed. She intended to distract Tracy from her Deception plans as well. Tracy’s granddaughter kept Tracy distracted by supplying her with strong Mai Tai drinks. While some actors claim that the key to portraying inebriation is to have your character demonstrate that they’re making an effort to refrain from drinking, Daytime Emmy winner Elliot took a different approach.

Tracy’s characteristic mockery was initially on display as she made fun of everything, including the impressive fire-eating artist (how does he do that?) and the “wilted” lei Brooklyn gave her grandmother. She described the Hawaiian night at the Metro Court pool as a “wasteland of kitsch” and later as a “pineapple purgatory.” We got to see Tracy’s dramatic as well as comedic sides as she grew drunk, such as when she slurped the last of her drink.

Our hearts ached for Tracy as she lamented the passing of Luke (Anthony Geary). Tracy sighed, “I can’t believe he’s gone. We intended to travel the globe together, unlike Quartermaine and Luke.He was hilarious,He would often get me laughing. He once produced.

Brook Lynn decided to bring her grandmother home out of compassion for her, but not before Elliot got to show Tracy other flavors while she was intoxicated. “Mac!” When speaking to Felicia’s (Kristina Wagner) husband, Tracy was flirtatious. Tracy said, “Felicia, you should bring that fire-twirler over here to warm up ‘Chilly Willy,'” after Mac (John J. York) ignored her.

To Brook Lynn’s dismay, Tracy wouldn’t let go of her desire for Deception despite being intoxicated. Tracy exploded, “You still owe me, and you’re going to pay me back with Deception,” I want everything.

The pain a hungover Tracy later felt in the Quartermaine kitchen was far worse than the frustration Brook Lynn felt about her failed attempt to distract Tracy from Deception. Tracy (Wally Kurth), who had messy hair, got into a fight with Ned (who claims to be singer Eddie Maine) there. Elliot walked the tightrope between making Tracy feel passionate about her son’s identity crisis while never forgetting that Tracy felt the room spin and had a headache from a hangover.

Tracy accosted her son, standing (or rather sitting) firm in her position that he is not Eddie Maine but rather Ned Quartermaine, in between sips of water, which she was wisely trying to take in order to rehydrate herself.

Tracy may have allowed Brook Lynn to bribe her with extra potent Mai Tais, but she didn’t let Eddie get away with anything.

In an effort to reclaim the identity that Tracy wants him to have—rather than the one that Eddie believes to be his true self—Eddie yelled at Tracy for wanting to commit him. Tracy won’t let anyone have the last word on her when she’s sober. She questioned Ned about why he continued to reside in Monica’s home if he was so concerned about being imprisoned by Ned’s family (in case you forgot, the late Alan gave it to her). Why not share an apartment with Sonny (Maurice Benard)? Eddie shook his head and said, “Too many goombahs,” alluding to the bodyguards that the coffee importer employed.

Tracy then recognized her chance to make her point. In the manner of Tracy Quartermaine, the woman who is typically three steps ahead of the people in her life, Elliot gave her response.

Tracy said, pointing at her son, “And there it is. “I was aware. Ned, you are there. Somewhere.” Congratulations to Jane Elliot for introducing us to Tracy’s palette’s various hues and for consistently making us yearn for more of her outstanding performances.
