In Monday’s (August 21) episode of Coronation Street, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), conscious of Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) deteriorating right side of his body, offered him a walking aid.

Paul has thus far had right arm and leg symptoms from MND.This indicates that he is adjusting to using either his left hand, which is less dominant and so significantly weaker, or not using his right hand at all.

Paul additionally relies on chairs and rails to cling onto as he walks with a limp in addition to this.

This was prominently shown in tonight’s episode when Paul struggled to fill the kettle while attempting to prepare a cup of tea in the kitchen.

Billy became aware of the issues and pondered whether it was appropriate to take action to make Paul’s life simpler.

Paul spent the afternoon watching movies with Summer (Harriet Bibby) while Billy was away.

He attempted to stand up to get some popcorn but found it challenging to take a few steps without assistance.

Billy came back with a walking assistance in his hand as Paul was about to sit down again. Paul initially expressed his dismay and desire for things to return to normal.

Summer urged Paul to get up and go for a stroll to grab ice cream after Billy and Summer emphasized that he will never be able to enjoy a life free from motor neurone disease again. Summer did this in an effort to assist Paul.

In reference to Paul and Billy’s relationship, Daniel Brocklebank earlier said, “He’s very, very aware that that time together is coming to an end.”

And as things stand, their time is running out since, of course, Paul will be able to accomplish less and less the longer it goes on. Because I believe we all forget that our time is already limited for everyone of us, I believe he is attempting to live each moment as we all should.

We all lose sight of the fact that we should cherish each moment since we never know what lies ahead because we are so caught up in the daily grind.
