In forthcoming Coronation Street episodes, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) gets into a lot of difficulty when she misinterprets compassion again and creates a lot of embarrassment by offering to sleep with Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
You did read that correctly.
The disturbed teen recently moved back to Weatherfield after spending time with her mother in Cornwall. This was an effort to shield her from her father’s negative influence, far-right activist Reece (Scott Anson). Because of his involvement in the nefarious schemes that resulted in the stabbing of Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), he is currently serving time in prison.
When Lauren returned to Weatherfield, it became obvious that she was still in love with Max Turner (Paddy Bever), whose father was a member of the gang that also recruited him to participate in their racist acts.
After being released from an STC to which he had been committed for his involvement in the gang’s crimes, he had moved on and had a new lover named Sabrina (Luana Santos). She told Max they couldn’t be in a relationship if Lauren was in his life because of Lauren’s prior racist attitudes, and she wasn’t thrilled when he reconnected with Lauren. Max’s relationship with Sabrina came to an end because he was unwilling to abandon Lauren.
In upcoming episodes, Lauren, who recently started working at Roy’s Rolls, had a good day. Shona (Julia Goulding) is satisfied with the way she handled the problem when Beth (Lisa George) falsely accuses her of underpaying her after she calmly resolves it.
Lauren tells Max about her day with a smile. He’s happy for her, but Lauren takes his good natured encouragement as a kiss and leans in.When Max begins to back away, Lauren becomes extremely embarrassed and storms out.
She returns to the cafe and informs Roy that she has humiliated herself beyond repair and that she wishes to resign. To allow her time to consider what she truly wants to do, Roy, being of his customarily generous nature, provides her with food and a place to sleep for the night.
Lauren then shows her fragility by offering to sleep with Roy as a token of her appreciation. Naturally, some men might have taken them up on that offer, but not Roy.Not long after, Lauren realizes she has made yet another catastrophic error.
When Shona tells Roy that neither she nor Max have seen Lauren since the previous day, Roy becomes anxious.
She only shows up again to pack her things at number 8, when she surprises Shona and Max by admitting that she made a pass at Roy because she believed that was what men do.
