In EastEnders, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) will confront his rapist father Graham Foster. Alex McSweeney will return to the character of the nefarious villain. Could the encounter result in murder?
Last year, when Freddie first arrived on the Square, he thought Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was his father.
Though his real dad’s identity and the actual circumstances of his conception were kept a secret from him, he quickly learned that this was not the case.
Longtime EastEnders watchers will be aware that Little Mo Slater (Kacey Ainsworth), Freddie’s mother, became pregnant after being sexually assaulted by Graham in the Queen Vic.
Although she wanted Billy to raise Freddie as his own, he was unable to cope with what had transpired, and the couple ultimately divorced.
After witnessing Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) developing a relationship with sons Bert and Ernie, Freddie will once more get interested in who his father is in subsequent scenes.
Bobby Brazier, an actor, said, “Freddie wants to find his dad because he’s grown up for the past 18 years without knowing anything about who his dad is and anytime he’s wanted to find out about who his dad is he’s always been palmed off.”
He hasn’t received any conclusive responses that would have brought him comfort or the desired resolution. Last year, he relocated to the Square in an effort to locate his family and ask them to direct him to his father.
‘Watching Alfie be such a terrific parent to his boys, someone who has kind of taken on that male role model for Freddie as someone he can trust and take shelter on, it sparks something in Freddie that hasn’t come up for a while but is always there. He therefore desires to locate his father.
When Freddie has made up his mind, he asks Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) to tell him who he is, but she declines in an effort to shield him from the truth.
When he persists, she gives in, interrupts Freddie, Alfie, and Billy’s talk, and says she will tell him the truth later.
She eventually lies to Little Mo though since she doesn’t want to break his trust.
Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) overhears her discussion with Jean and Harvey (Gillian Wright and Ross Boatman) and covertly tells Freddie his father’s identity.
When Freddie begins his search, he discovers Graham Foster’s name on a car dealership’s website. He and his best buddy Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) decide to test drive a car to get to know Graham Foster.
But in the heat of the moment, Freddie confesses his true identity.
Can we anticipate Freddie to exact severe retaliation since executive producer Chris Clenshaw promised that “Freddie will finally find out the truth about his dad”?
Kat, Alfie, and Billy are in a race against time to find Freddie after learning of his plans to see his father.
Will they arrive in time if they turn on Bobby and learn Freddie’s location from him?
