A potential new couple on Coronation Street seems to have emerged after it was revealed they’ve slept together.
Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) have become closer in recent months following Lauren’s return to Weatherfield.
However, their growing bond has sparked tension with Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll), who has been open about his feelings for Lauren.
Bobby previously confessed to Max that he still has feelings for Lauren, just as he did before she left, and he hasn’t given up on being with her.
In tonight’s episode, Bobby realized that Max had lied to avoid spending time with him, only to hang out with Lauren instead.
Frustrated, Bobby confronted them, accusing them of acting strange and demanding an explanation.
After some hesitation, Lauren revealed the truth – she and Max had slept together, leaving Bobby heartbroken.
Hurt that Max betrayed him despite knowing his feelings for Lauren, Bobby stormed off in anger.
Later, though, at the café, Bobby told Max that their friendship meant more to him, and he was willing to move past it.
He told Max that if he wanted to pursue a relationship with Lauren then he had his blessing.
But were Lauren and Max being honest?
Lately, several residents of Coronation Street have been behaving suspiciously following the murder of Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
Could Lauren have fabricated the story about sleeping with Max just to divert Bobby’s questions about Joel? Is it possible that Max and Lauren are somehow involved in his death?
