The week of August 7, 2023

Doug Davidson, who hasn’t appeared on-screen as Paul Williams, the police chief, since 2020, has reportedly left the building and Y&R forever. The 1978 character creator actor announced on social media that he had cleaned up his dressing room. The actor thanked viewers for their “kind messages” and said he was “eternally grateful to Bill and Lee Bell (the soap’s co-creators) and CBS for EVERYTHING!” On-screen, it was mentioned that Paul divorced Christine (Lauralee Bell), retired from being a police officer, and relocated to Portugal.

In the role of Lucy Romalotti, Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) daughter, Lily Brooks O’Briant is back on screen. Beginning on August 9, the teen will drop into Genoa City for another visit.

CBS broadcasts The Young and the Restless on weekdays. Check out the most recent entries on Y&R spoilers for additional information about what will happen in Genoa City, and click here for a detailed look at the show’s history.
