Nothing is more dangerous than a desperate, unhinged person in survival mode. Enter Emmerdale’s Tom King (James Chase), now a mix of anger and desperation – a volatile blend.
The village has started to turn against Tom, a reality that doesn’t sit well with his narcissistic nature, as he seems convinced he’s done no wrong.
Tom was furious when the villagers created a “Guy” for the bonfire that bore his likeness. Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) opposes him, Jimmy (Nick Miles) is skeptical, and the police are determined to gather enough evidence to expose him.
DS Foy added to his humiliation, slamming a tablet down in front of him, momentarily wiping the smug look off his face.
With time running out, Tom resorts to intimidation as his only remaining tool.
Having been forced out of the family home by Angelica’s (Rebecca Bakes) return, he’s feeling unsettled and vulnerable.
In his bid to regain control, Tom shifts his focus to a new target – someone he believes he can truly intimidate: Paddy.
A reasonable person would have left a job where they’re clearly unwelcome. But not Tom. He’s determined to win.
After previously threatening Rhona (Zoe Henry) with legal action when she suggested he find work elsewhere, Tom escalates his tactics to pressure the vets into rehiring him.
He corners Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and issues a chilling ultimatum: rehire him, or he’ll expose the practice’s secrets.
With the business’s reputation on the line, Paddy is left with a difficult choice – will he be forced to let Tom return to protect the practice’s name?
