After a tough year, the actress has farewelled Summer Bay.

Following weeks of speculation, it’s been confirmed that Sam Frost is saying goodbye to Home and Away.

Sam, 32, joined Channel 7’s flagship drama as Jasmine Delaney in 2017, after becoming a household name as Australia’s first-ever Bachelorette.

Her surprise casting also followed a 2DayFM radio stint alongside Rove McManus.

Sam has played Jasmine on Home and Away since 2017.

According to insiders, Sam plans to relocate from Sydney to Melbourne to be closer to her family, and it’s also been speculated that she’ll be leaving the spotlight for good.

“Those close to her predict she’ll retire from performing. “Sam sort of slipped into it… it’s not a huge passion,” the source says, adding that Sam is likely to go into the “health and wellbeing” industry.

Already Sam has confirmed she’s publishing a memoir that focuses on her personal experiences with mental health.

Sam filmed her final scenes for Home and Away on December 17.

The “raw, honest and real tome”, titled Believe, has been co-written with Sam’s sister, Kristine Ross.

“Whether it’s more books, a podcast, even public speaking – what really motivates Sam is helping others,” tells a source.

Sam has been refreshingly open about her anxiety and depression difficulties throughout the years. She’s also worked hard to keep her social media following informed and create safe spaces for them.

Sam’s memoir is due for release in 2022.

Sam resigned after expressing her opposition to the COVID vaccine. She was chastised for referring to ongoing vaccination restrictions as “segregation.”

Sam explained she would be “written out temporarily” since she had a medical operation scheduled for January and wouldn’t be “completely vaxxed” until February 2022, as Channel 7 needed all cast members to be double-vaccinated by January 10.

However, she’s since decided to turn that hiatus into a permanent departure.
