Fans have been engrossed in the mystery of who the dead guy on the Queen Vic floor is thanks to EastEnders’ first-of-its-kind flash-forward from February, and a new name has been added to the mix after viewers noticed certain signs.
Fans of the BBC soap opera EastEnders have discovered hints that Ian Beale, played by actor Adam Woodyatt, may have been the victim on Christmas Day.
After it was recently revealed that Ian had met up with his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who was believed to have passed away back in 1998, he is going to make a comeback to the Square.
They are currently residing in France, but it has been revealed they will soon return to Walford.
While this is happening, some viewers have put a few clues together and come to the conclusion that Ian will be the victim this Christmas.
Many people shared their predictions on social media, such Twitter user @Mrs7Wallis, who wrote: “#Eastenders #bbc #flashforward #EastendersSix. At Christmas, IAN will be on the ground clutching the cufflinks after suffering an accident or a heart attack. Additionally, I believe he leads Sharon down the aisle. @bbceastenders.”
“Ian is the dead body at Christmas, I just feel it in my bones,” wrote @DavidMackayy in reference to Eastenders.
One person wrote: “Ian Beale is the dead body at Christmas; Sharon’s gonna get her revenge for not killing him last time #eastenders.”
“What if the corpse is Ian and the armor in the flash forward represents Cindy, a.k.a. Rose Knight? In any case, that’s my backup theory,” added another supporter.
“Could you imagine if it was Ian killed at Christmas #Eastenders,” @thequarantinee1 further commented.
There is no way they won’t have Cindy deceive Ian with George, said @shawnlunn2002. And they will undoubtedly do that before Christmas. #EastEnders.”
Six of Walford’s women were gathered at The Vic in the flash-forward scene, their faces terrified as Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) knelt down to try to find a pulse on an unidentified victim and declared: “He’s dead.”
During the brief flashforward, astute viewers saw that a knight figure had been positioned behind Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
The possibility of so much drama surrounding Ian’s homecoming has led many to speculate that the clues may connect to him. The notion is tenable.
