New Mitchell Nicola (Laura Doddington) is poised to make a significant impact on the residents of EastEnders next week.
The highly anticipated arrival of Teddy’s (Roland Manookian) ex-wife has finally arrived after being hinted at throughout October. We first heard Teddy mention Nicola during a conversation with their son Harry (Elijah Holloway) at their housewarming party, where he said that “you know who” had been checking out their old home in Dartford.
Later, after an altercation with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), Barney (Lewis Bridgeman), the youngest member of the new Mitchell family, reached out to Nicola, telling his friend Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) that Teddy believed his mother was “trouble.”
In the upcoming scenes, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) remains focused on investigating the disappearance of Harry’s ex-girlfriend Shireen, convinced that Harry is involved. Jack’s daughter Penny (Kitty Castledine), who is still at odds with her father after he turned against her, tips Harry off about Jack’s inquiries, leading him to issue a threat. He warns that if Jack doesn’t back off, he will reveal Penny’s role in their scheme against him.
To regain control, Penny persuades Jack to let her meet Shireen’s friend Felicity, hoping to intimidate her. However, Felicity’s chilling account of Shireen’s disappearance unsettles Penny deeply.
Later, Nicola arrives just as the police are arresting her son. Teddy confronts her about her unexpected visit, and Nicola insists that she heard about their son’s situation and wanted to help. She questions Penny about her involvement in the arrest.
Jack also wants to talk to Nicola, demanding to know what she has discussed with the Mitchells.
Soon, Teddy begins to realize the influence Nicola is having on the locals and decides to use a significant secret from her past against her.
As the week progresses, tensions rise as Harry targets Penny, pushing him to reveal some uncomfortable truths to Jack. Meanwhile, Nicola continues to irritate Teddy and expresses disdain for Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), whom he has been flirting with for months.
Eager to reconnect with her estranged family, Nicola introduces herself to Honey (Emma Barton), who would have been her sister-in-law. She then invites herself to lunch with Teddy and his half-brother Billy (Perry Fenwick), taking the chance to make Teddy uncomfortable.
After securing a place to stay, Nicola decides to stir the pot even further. Overhearing that Phil plans to transfer Peggy’s nightclub to Teddy, she confronts him for a conversation.
