Recently, Ben Addis’ character Craig has been introduced to Emmerdale viewers, but they are still quite wary of him.

Viewers of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale think they have “worked out” newbie Craig Reed’s (played by Ben Addis) actual identity and intentions.

Craig is an old acquaintance and ex-lover of Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), who she hasn’t seen in a long time.

However, after watching Monday’s episode of the drama set in the Yorkshire Dales, people expressed concern for Lydia’s well-being.

Craig and Lydia first became friends while cohabitating at a children’s home, and they just got back in touch after running into one other at a job fair.

Later, viewers learned he was the father of her stillborn baby Toby, who passed away. Lydia lost Toby while she was barely a teenager.

The former childhood sweethearts have been discussing their pasts, but Craig’s genuine motivations have viewers concerned.

“Why do I feel like we’re about to have another stalker story on our hands with Craig stalking Lydia?” tweeted Matthew Chapman.

Craig will hold Lydia hostage tomorrow, without a sure. It has just been a week since our previous hostage-taking rampage, so #Emmerdale is ripe for another.

Craig is going to turn evil, isn’t he #Emmerdale? @LoveRealityTV4 added.

In a tweet, Beckie Miller said, “Craig is a billy bullsh***r and I don’t know what he’s up to #Emmerdale.”

What is Craig’s motivation, Ryan asked? He certainly exudes a menacing aura. The smirk on his face at that moment told it all.

“Craig gives me the creeps,” Jehan said to his fans. He just has a strange air about him. #Emmerdale.”

Has Craig been mistakenly identified as Lydia’s stalker, as some fans have speculated?

Perhaps subsequent moments on the ITV serial will disclose the truth about Craig’s intentions with Lydia.

Hopefully, Craig won’t interfere with her union to Sam Dingle (James Hootton).
