It wouldn’t be the first time if Valentin were to lie to Anna Devane on General Hospital about his involvement in her stalking. Valentin has previously lied to Anna. countless times before. We’re not referring to their relationship prior to that.
On The Couch: Anna Devane
We’re referring to events that occurred even after, like when he plotted against Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) without telling Anna (Finola Hughes). Anna is aware that the man she says she loves is a liar. Why then does she not care? A few hours on our couch will clear everything up.
GH: Takes One To Know One
Anna is hardly capable of standing on her moral high ground. She has undoubtedly lied a fair amount. She can’t even say that she doesn’t tell lies to the people she cares about. When they first got married, she most definitely told Robert (Tristan Rogers) lies. She also recently continued to deceive Finn (Michael Easton) in order to continue shielding Peter (Wes Ramsey). Who is she to object if Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is lying to her?
Anna Devane: Grownups
Anna is also old enough and wise enough to understand that adults don’t have to disclose everything to their partners. She is free to lead a life of her choosing. He is free to lead a life of his own. They are permitted to maintain relationships with others while keeping those relationships private. She doesn’t need to know everything about Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) from Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). He doesn’t need to know everything about Robin (Kimberly McCullough), according to Anna. or in regards to their pals.
Fear No General Hospital Evil
Anna doesn’t question Valentin about his lies, though, primarily because she doesn’t want to know. Recall Peter? Wasn’t Anna happier when she believed her nephew to be a flawed but ultimately good person rather than when she had proof he wasn’t but continued to justify herself because of her guilt?
The same is true of Valentin. Anna is aware of his potential. But she would rather see the positive side of him.rather than learn he isn’t…but still permit her to continue defending him out of guilt for her own past behavior.
